Vincent Golson has been named the CSUDH Athlete of the Week after leading the effort for the men's basketball team against ninth-ranked Cal Baptist Saturday. 

Before taking on the Lancers, Golson had 14 points and went a perfect 8-for-8 on the free throw line in CSUDH's 72-71 win over Holy Names in the season opener Friday afternoon.

Golson, a 5-8 senior from Oakland, led the effort against the Lancers, dropping in 20 points including seven free throws and dished out three assists. The Toros fell to the Lancers 93-79.
