Hernandez, a 6-foot-2 senior from Whittier, Calif., played a key role in helping the Toros post a pair of key road victories to remain tied atop the CCAA. The CSUDH senior averaged 21.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals versus Cal State Monterey Bay and San Francisco State. Hernandez connected on 45.5 percent of his field goal attempts and made 31 of 32 (96.9) free throw attempts.
During an 83-72 victory over Cal State Monterey Bay, Hernandez scored 22 points, collected three rebounds, an assist and steal. He followed that performance with 20 points, three rebounds, an assist and steal in a 74-57 win at San Francisco State.
