Steele nearly single-handedly won two games for the Toros with her offense last week, tallying a .643 batting average as CSUDH swept non-conference games against the Academy of Art.
On Friday against Grand Canyon, Steele went 2-6 with a run scored as CSUDH dropped both games to red hot GCU.
The next day, however, Steele went a near perfect 7-for-8 after moving to the 2-spot in the line-up, scoring two runs with two RBI and a legged-out triple in the twinbill.
The Los Angeles native garnered three hits and scored twice in the 8-4 game one win, saving her best for last as she went a perfect 4-for-4 in the nightcap with a stolen base, driving in two of the team's runs in the 3-2 win, including the game-winner with a single to the opposite field.
Steele accrued 26% of her team's hits while leading the Toros in average, hits, triples, slugging percentage and stolen bases, which included two bunt singles as the Toros split their four games.
