Women's Soccer Preview: Seeking a Return to Glory

CARSON -- Coming off a subpar season in a highly-competitive California Collegiate Athletic Association conference, the Cal State Dominguez Hills women's soccer team recruited a robust 15 newcomers to join their 18 returning letter-winners, looking to regain its status amongst the league's elite.

Having last earned its last postseason berth in the 2009 season when the Toros reached the NCAA Championship Title game, CSUDH hasn't posted a winning season since 2011, and has combined for just six victories over the past two campaigns.  However, third-year head coach Aileen Nasypany and her brand new assistant coaching staff believe this year's recruiting class is as talented as they come, and it will have to be to counter the league's head coaches' prediction, which has the Toros finishing last in the CCAA.

Here is Nasypany on her thoughts during the off- and preseason.
