ATHERTON -- Cal State Dominguez Hills sophomore
Alexis Delgado continued her offensive surge by scoring her third goal in the past two matches, only to have host Menlo equalize in the 83rd minute to give the teams a 1-1 draw.
CSUDH picks up its fourth point of the weekend, moving to 3-12-1 overall and 1-10-1 in California Collegiate Athletic Association action.
Delgado wasted little time in continuing her scoring acumen, taking a through ball from
Betsy Lopez Rayas and dribbling into the box before scoring to the near post at the 12:40 mark, where the score remained heading into the break.
The Toros continued to nurse its 1-0 lead despite being outshot by a 7 to 3 mark 37 minutes into the second half. Â
In the 83rd minute, however, Menlo equalized via a half volley and had two final shots to win the match, with Toro keeper
Marlies Nauman denying the final attempt with six seconds left in regulation.
CSUDH was outshot 14 to 5 on the day, including a 5 to 1 disadvantage in shots on goal.
The Toros will conclude their 2026 season on Thursday as it hosts crosstown-rival Cal State LA for an 11 am first touch at Toro Stadium.
