CARSON -- Cal State San Bernardino's Jasmine Williams collected a rebound off a blocked shot, and drilled a low line drive past Cal State Dominguez Hills keeper Jennifer Ackerly to the right corner at 6:20 as the Coyotes took a hard-fought 1-0 win over the Toros on a cool Friday afternoon in Toro Stadium.

The loss drops CSUDH to 3-3-1, 2-2-1 CCAA.

The visitors got on the board first as Jasmine Williams collected a rebounded shot off the foot of Kiana Quarles, and sent her shot past Toro keeper Jennifer Ackerly just inside the right post at the 6:20 mark.

That's where the score remained as neither defense would budge, despite 10 shots by each side.

Ackerly finished with five saves while counterpar Chelsey Jones made four in the win.

Caitlin Peterson and Naomi Linares each took two shots to lead the Toros, with Quarles managing four attempts, with two coming on frame.

CSUDH will look to get back in the win column on Sunday as Chico State visits Carson for an 11:30 am first kick.
