LOS ANGELES -- Coming into tonight's showdown as the No. 6 seed at cross-town rival and top-seeded Cal State L.A., the Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros needed at least a tie to keep their hopes of an NCAA postseason berth alive, but the 11th-ranked Golden Eagles used a score in the 79th minute to take a 1-0 win, putting the Toros in a precarious postseason dilemma with just one game left in the regular season.

With the loss, CSUDH falls to 9-5-3, 7-5-3 CCAA, while CSULA improves to 12-1-4, 10-1-4 CCAA.

The Toros were on the offensive from the outset, taking an 11-1 shot advantage in a scoreless first half.

CSULA then matched CSUDH's offensive intensity after the break, with the contest looking like it was heading into overtime.

At the 78:38 mark, however, an Oscar Carrillo feed down the sideline found Tobias Tobrant, and Tobrant's 18 yard blast found its way over CSUDH keeper Trey Mitchell's head to break the scoreless tie.

CSUDH finished with a 16-7 shot and 7-2 corner kick advantage, but Tobrant's lone attempt of the evening sent CSULA's seniors out with a win on "Senior Day" and gave the Golden Eagles a sweep of the regular season series.

The Toros will conclude their regular season on Sunday at Cal Poly Pomona, with first kick set for 11:30 am.
