"The Mid-Week Peaks" - A Look at the Toros in the NCAA National Rakings - 4/15/09

Carson, CA -- With both softball and track & field having a weekend of rest, the Cal State Dominguez Hills baseball team had a chance to bolster their NCAA individual rankings with standout performances in a single-game win over Biola University and three-game sweep of Academy of Art University.

In this weeks updates, CSUDH has student-athletes ranked in the top 30 in 21 different categories with nine of those being in the top ten. #Liz Vazquez# of softball has the sole distinction of being a national rankings leader for having no strikeouts on the season, while #Carlos Leyva# of baseball comes in at number three in the nation with total hits. 

Every Wednesday the Sports Information Office will release "The Mid-Week Peaks" rankings to keep you informed on where our outstanding student-athletes stand in comparison to the rest of the nation.
