ALISO VIEJO, Calif. -- Cal State Dominguez Hills women's soccer legend Heather Rolland, who earned All-America honors and remains the only student-athlete in program history to make two NCAA semifinals under two different head coaches, was selected to the CCAA Hall of Fame Class of 2026 as part of an eight-member collection that elevated both their institutions and NCAA Division II competition.

Rolland's collegiate career, which began in 1989 and ran through 1995-97, stands as one of the most remarkable stories in CCAA women's soccer history. A standout performer for the Toros across two separate eras, Rolland combined record-setting offensive production with extraordinary perseverance to become one of the most accomplished players ever to wear a Toros' uniform.
 
Rolland first helped lead Cal State Dominguez Hills to the NCAA semifinals in 1989 before stepping away from school to help care for her younger brother. Nearly eight years later, she returned to the CSUDH program and immediately resumed her place among the region's top players. Her remarkable journey culminated in a second NCAA semifinal appearance, making her the only student-athlete in program history to reach two national semifinals under two different head coaches.
 
Upon her return, Rolland emerged as one of the most dangerous attacking players in NCAA Division II. She earned All-America and All-Region honors and was selected to the NCAA Final Four All-Tournament Team. Her ability to produce in the sport's biggest moments helped establish the Toros as one of the premier programs in the West Region for the era. 
 
Rolland's name remains prominently featured throughout both the CSU Dominguez Hills and CCAA record books. She ranks third in program history with 132 career points and 54 career goals, while her 24 goals and 55 points during a single season remain school records. Her offensive production and consistency helped define one of the most successful eras in the Toros women's soccer program.
 
Team success followed throughout Rolland's career. The Toros compiled a 47-12-2 record during her time with the program, capturing two CCAA championships, two NCAA Far West Regional titles, and advancing to the NCAA semifinals on two occasions. Her leadership, determination, and competitive spirit were instrumental in establishing Cal State Dominguez Hills among the nation's elite programs.
 
Through her record-setting performances, championship success, and inspiring return to collegiate competition, Rolland secured a legacy that extends far beyond statistics. Her accomplishments rank among the finest ever achieved by a CCAA women's soccer student-athlete and helped define two generations of Cal State Dominguez Hills soccer excellence. 
 
Rolland is the eighth Toro to be named to the CCAA Hall of Fame, following (in alphabetical order) Tony Alfaro (MSOC), Kevin Gallaugher (MSOC), Carmelita Jeter (T&F), Kei Kamara (MSOC), Cindy Perry Brown (SFB), Kevin Pillar (BSB), and head coach Dave Yanai (MBB).

Joining Rolland as members of the 2026 CCAA Hall of Fame class include Scott Bauhs (Chico State), Kim Duyst (Stanislaus State), Samantha Lipperd (Sonoma State), John Madden (Cal Poly), Sylvia Mosqueda (Cal State LA), Larry Reynolds (Cal State San Bernardino/Stanislaus State), and Lisa Ulmer (Cal Poly Pomona). 

Members of the 2026 CCAA Hall of Fame class will be honored at the 2027 CCAA Men's & Women's Basketball Tournament in Coussoulis Arena on the campus of Cal State San Bernardino on Saturday, March 6.
