SAN BERNARDINO -- Cal State Dominguez Hills senior
Trent Fitzgerald finished day one of the Cal State San Bernardino-hosted Coyote Classic tied for ninth place after shooting par over the first two rounds.
The CSUSB transfer fired a 1-under in the first round and followed that effort with a 1-over for his score (71, 73).
Aaron Sanchez (pictured) was next, tying for 15th after shooting a 5-over and 4-under (77, 68).
Individually, CSUSB's Kamron Hopson leads the pack with a 10-under after day one, while his No. 45 Coyotes pace the 13 teams competing, coming in at 13-under after day one.
As a team, the Toros fielded two squads, with one team finishing in a tie for ninth place at 27-over, and the other coming in 12th with a 32-over.
