BORREGO SPRINGS, Calif. – The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros closed the Battle in the Desert golf tournament held on the 72-par Rams Hill Golf Club, with team scores of 309, 309, and 295 leading to a total of team score of 913 and 16
th place finish.
Jonah Camarillo led the Toros, demonstrating persistence and day to day improvement on the course. Camarillo carded rounds of 76, 74, and 71, culminating in a score of 221 and a 24th place finish.
Francis Bautista tied for 58th as he tallied rounds of 79, 75, and 76, totaling 230.
David Cho, with a total score of 231 from rounds of 76, 79, and 76, tied for 60th place.
Andy Garcia finished in 69th place, his scores of 78, 82, and 75 totaling 235.
Aaron Sanchez, completing the Toros' lineup, tied for 77th place. After opening rounds of 86 and 81, Sanchez's final round of 73 for a total of 240.
The Toros compete in the Las Vegas Desert Classic this weekend, as they tee off for the first round on Monday, March 3
