HONOLULU, HAWAII – The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros tied for fourth place as a team with
Francis Bautista's outstanding performance including a playoff to win first in the HPU Shark Shootout.
Francis Bautista, a standout performer for the Toros, delivered a remarkable performance. Bautista concluded the tournament with a total score of 207, finishing at an impressive 9-under par. His consistency and precision were evident throughout the rounds, with scores of 68, 72, and 67. Bautista's final-round score of 67, five strokes under par, led the way for the Toros.
Joseph Sotelo, another key player for the Toros finished in the top ten tying for ninth place. Sotelo ended the tournament with a total score of 213. His rounds of 69, 75, and 69 rounded him at 3-under par.
Jonah Camarillo contributed significantly to the Toros' strong showing, finishing the tournament at +2. Camarillo's final score of 218 with rounds of 73, 76, and an impressive 69 on the last day.
The Toros also received valuable contributions from
Andy Garcia, who finished with a total score of 248.
The Toros continue their trip in Hawaii as they compete in the Hawai`i Hilo Invite Friday-Saturday, October 27-28
