CARSON – First he was selected as an all-region. Entering Wednesday, Sulaiman Bah is now an All-American.
 
The Cal State Dominguez Hills men's soccer midfielder impressed many sports information directors to vote him into the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-America first team.
 
Although Bah is the first Toro to be selected as an All-American since Joey Chica in 2017 and as a first team honor since former standout and current MLS player Tony Alfaro did it his senior year in 2015, Bah becomes the first to be named out of the D2CCA.
 
Having played and started all 22 matches, Bah etched his name into the program's single-season record book when he tallied 18 goals and 12 assists for 48 points, breaking the later record of 46 set by JC Bolanos and Alex Bengard during the 2000 national championship season.
 
Bah also put his name into the CCAA's record book by being named Pixellot Offensive Player of the Week five times, by far the most in the conference's decorated history.
 
While the D2CCA is the first to release its All-Americans, the United Soccer Coaches are expected to announce its same honor following the conclusion of the NCAA Championship this weekend.
 
Dominguez Hills finished the season 15-2-5 overall and an undefeated 7-0-4 conference season to win its first CCAA championship since 2015. The Toros qualified for the NCAA tournament for the first time in five years and reached as far as the third round.
