The postseason honors continue to roll in for the Cal State Dominguez Hills men's soccer program. Midfielder Sergio Valenzuela and defender Ndifor Ginyui were named to the United Soccer Coaches of America All-West Region First Team, while defender Diego Barahona earned a spot on the Second Team.
The trio played key roles in guiding the Toros to an undefeated CCAA regular season and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament.
Ginyui, recently selected as a D2CCA All-American, also swept the league's top honors as both the CCAA Defender of the Year and CCAA Player of the Year, anchoring a back line that posted eight shutouts. Valenzuela led CSUDH in minutes and was a steady presence in the midfield throughout the season. Barahona emerged as one of the Toros' most dynamic two-way contributors and finished the year as the team's leading goal scorer.
CSUDH will look to build on its success next fall after winning three of the last four CCAA championships.
