INDIANAPOLIS – The second of the important NCAA Men's Soccer Super Regional polls came out Wednesday, this time ranking the top 10 teams. For Cal State Dominguez Hills, which remains undefeated at 12-0-5, was placed fifth in the region, a well-comfortable spot in the hunt for a spot at the NCAA postseason.
 
St. Mary's of Texas holds the top spot in the super region, owning a 9-0-5 record. The Toros' crosstown rivals, Cal State LA and Cal Poly Pomona, are No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, and Colorado State Pueblo is No. 4.
 
Behind the Toros is Colorado School of Mines, followed by Midwestern State at No. 7, Western Washington at No. 8, West Texas A&M at No. 9 and Simon Fraser at No. 10.
 
The Toros, who locked up a spot to the upcoming CCAA Tournament, will be eyeing the conference championship Thursday, when they travel to Cal State Monterey Bay Thursday in the regular-season finale. Another matchup to watch will be Cal State LA at Cal Poly Pomona, for the results of that match can make an impact on the Toros' hunt for the conference championship.
 
All matches are to kickoff at 2 p.m.
 
As a reminder, here are the points scenarios for the top three teams in the CCAA. Dominguez Hills and Pomona are tied for first with 23 points and Los Angeles is one point behind the two. Should there be a tie between them, the CCAA will have to initiate its tiebreaking procedure.
 
The CCAA takes the top six teams into the upcoming conference tournament. The Nos. 1 and 2 seeds receive a bye into the semifinal round held at Cal State San Bernardino November 4 and will await the winners of No. 3 vs. 6 and No. 4 vs. 5, which will be played Sunday at the higher seeds' pitch.

• A Toros win and a Bronco loss secures Dominguez Hills (25 points) the CCAA championship outright and the No. 1 seed. Cal State LA (24 points) would take the second seed and Cal Poly Pomona (22 points) takes the third seed.
• Both the Toros and Broncos would be declared co-champions if they either win (25 points) or tie (23 points) their respective matches and receive the first-round byes. Cal State LA (22 points) would be the No. 3 seed. The CCAA would have to use the tie-breaking procedure in its manual to determine which team between the Toros and Broncos is the No. 1 and 2 seed.
• If the Toros tie the Otters and the Golden Eagles beat the Broncos, Dominguez Hills (23 points) will finish second in the standings and still receives a first-round bye. Cal State LA (24 points) would be declared the champions and Cal Poly Pomona (22 points) would take the third seed.
• If the Toros lose or tie the Otters and the Broncos beat the Golden Eagles, Dominguez Hills (23 points for the tie or 22 points for the loss) will finish second in the standings and still receives a first-round bye. Cal Poly Pomona (25 points) would be declared the champions and Cal State LA (21 points) takes the No. 3 seed.
• If the Toros lose to the Otters and the Golden Eagles beat the Broncos, Cal State LA (24 points) wins the championship. Dominguez Hills and Cal Poly Pomona would be tied for second at 22 points and the CCAA will have to implement the tie-breaking procedure to determine which team receives the No. 2 and 3 seeds.
• The No. 3 seed will host the No. 6 seed, which is still up in the air between Chico State (14 points), Sonoma State (13 points) and Cal State San Marcos (11 points). Chico visits Humboldt, Sonoma hosts San Francisco State and San Marcos hosts Cal State San Bernardino.
