CARSON -- Looking to honor its nine seniors playing their final season in Cardinal and Gold with a win against Texas A&M International University, Cal State Dominguez Hills allowed a goal in the 74th minute that broke a 2-2 deadlock to give the Dustdevils a 3-2 victory tonight at Toro Stadium.

The loss drops the Toros to 1-2-2 on the year, while TAMIU remains unbeaten, improving to 3-0-1 with its third-straight win.

After over 30 minutes of scoreless action to begin the contest, the two teams combined for a score each in a span of three minutes.

Texas A&M struck first at the 34:27 mark, only to have Jose Peredia equalize after a feed from Rocco Bon, with Peredia's blast finding paydirt in the upper left V at 37:05.

That's where the score remained until the visitors broke the tie just seven minutes into the second half before Caleron converted his penalty kick attempt at 62:38, bringing the Toro faithful to its feet and knotting the score at 2-2.

That celebration was short-lived, however, as Texas A&M broke the tie for good in the 74th minute to steal the win.

The Toros enjoyed a slim 11-9 edge in shots, causing TAM to make five saves compared to just two for the hosts.

A physical contest, the teams combined for 25 fouls, with 18 whistles against the Dustdevils.

Prior to the match, CSUDH honored Cland Iwasaki, Jason Guzman, Jose Peredia, Bon, Mateo Soto, Mateo Vestesen, David Politron, Orlando Valencia, and Davien Karanikolas.

The Toros conclude their non-conference schedule on Tuesday, September 15, as Concordia University visits Toro Stadium for a 7 pm first touch.
