CARSON – The season is far from being finished and already
Sulaiman Bah is making conference history.
After claiming CCAA Offensive Player of the Week last week for the second time this season, the sophomore midfielder scored his 12
th goal of the season as well as notched three assists in the two matches he played to repeat the award Tuesday, becoming the conference's first three-time weekly honor winner in a single season.
Inside the home of the LA Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park, Bah assisted both goals in the Toros' 2-1 win over Sonoma State. On Sunday at San Francisco State, Bah assisted the eventual match-winner and scored his lone goal of the week to help the Toros shutout the Gators 4-0.
With a dozen goals on the year, Bah ranks third in NCAA Division II, trailing the national leader, Gannon's Sergio Del Castillo, by four and Franklin Pierce's Braudillo Rodrigues by two for second place.
Coupled with nine assists, Bah also ranks third nationally in total points.
Although he assisted both match's game-winning goals, Bah still leads the nation with five.
The Toros wrap up the home portion of the 2022 schedule with Stanislaus State Friday at 7 p.m. and Cal State East Bay Sunday at 2 p.m.
