Box Score TURLOCK – The Cal State Dominguez Hills women's soccer team fell behind early and couldn't rally as the Toros fell to Stanislaus State 2-0 to wrap up the three-match road trip Sunday.
Rayana Plancarte did all the offensive work for the Warriors (4-3-1, 1-0-1 CCAA, 4 pts.). Her first goal came 2:53 when she caught three Toro defenders off-guard and snuck by to easily beat keeper
Ashley Correia. She then put the match out of the Toros reach with her second goal in the 87
th minute.
The Toros (3-5-0, 0-2-0 CCAA, 0 pts.) came within inches to tying it up in the 13
th minute.
Holly Kaemerle chased a loose ball in the box and took a one-touch shot that deflected off the crossbar.
CSUDH made 13 total shots with three of them at the direction of the goal.
Dominguez Hills returns home to play its first match at Toro Stadium against Humboldt State. Kickoff on Friday is at a rare 1:30 p.m.
