WAIKOLOA, Hawaii – Howard Yoon scored an impressive 2-under 68 to lead Cal State Dominguez Hills after one of three rounds played at Hawai`i Hilo's annual Dennis Rose Invitational at the par-70, 6,566-yard Waikoloa Beach Course.

Yoon is in third place and trails tournament leader Brian Nielsen of Cal State San Bernardino by two strokes. He was practically perfect in the front nine, making birdie in the first hole while making par the rest. He also birdied in the par-3 11th hole, par-4 14th, and par-5 18th.

Andy Yoon had a solid performance on the back nine that got him to finish 2-over 72. He birdied the 15th hole while making par in the others. Patrick Ordonez finished only two shots behind him while Steven Escobar carded a 75 and Logan Miyamoto penciled in a 79.
