CARSON -- A number of former Cal State Dominguez Hills student-athletes have turned in one uniform for another, currently finding themselves in the middle of today's fight against COVID-19.
GoToros.com salutes these alums, and will recognize their heroic efforts on the front line as the pandemic continues to alter the way we go about our daily activities.

How I'm helping:
"I'm on the front lines at the hospital, making sure none of our patients are affected with the coronavirus, and if they are, making sure they get the treatment they need."
My motivation to help is:
"Hand washing, and being aware of basic information. We are encouraging everyone to play your par and don't wait until something happens in order to start implementing. Just practice safe health hygiene, and remember to be kind. People respond differently to change and everyone is battling the pandemic in some way."
How life has changed in 2020:
"2020 is and has been crazy, and it's almost unreal how things are right now. I take each day one day at a time and just try my best each and every day."
How my participation in collegiate athletics influences me during the current pandemic:
"I work as part of a team with my unit and my health care professionals despite the obstacles. Each day is different. There are currently very sick patients being seen at the hospital right now. The stress and tension is extremely high. Playing basketball was team sport, and not just a one-person sport. Everyone has a part to play, and it takes everyone working together to win in the end."
