Box Score SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — Cal State Dominguez Hills earned its first win of the season and opened CCAA play with a 75–64 road victory over Cal State San Bernardino on Thursday night.
The Toros (1–5, 1–0 CCAA) used a balanced offensive effort, with five players scoring six or more points. Bryanne Lopez-Wood led the way with 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting while adding five assists and five steals. Tiara Jones posted a 15-point, seven-rebound performance, going 5-for-10 from the field and 5-for-6 at the free-throw line.
Zanna Hurst added 18 points, knocking down three 3-pointers, and Leilani Abraham contributed six points and seven rebounds. Luv'lee Sadler anchored the glass with 10 rebounds and chipped in six points.
Dominguez Hills took control behind a strong second half, outscoring the Coyotes 40–33 over the final two quarters to secure the double-digit win.
Cal State San Bernardino (2–3, 0–1 CCAA) could not overcome the Toros' defensive pressure, turning the ball over throughout the night.
CSUDH returns to action this weekend as conference play continues.
