Rosas Highlights Women's Soccer as All-CCAA Honorable Mention

POMONA -- Even though the 2015 season was a disappointing one for the Cal State Dominguez Hills women's soccer team, there was a positive in the end as the California Collegiate Athletic Association awarded sophomore midfielder Johana Rosas an honorable mention. The conference announced its postseason awards Thursday evening.
 
Rosas missed the first three matches to start the season but went on to start 12 of her 15 appearances. In addition to logging in 1,115 minutes on the pitch overall, she scored all three of her goals in conference play.
 
The Toros finished the season 4-13-1 overall, 2-9-1 in the CCAA.
 
Chico State Pooja Patel claimed the conference's Offensive Player of the Year award, Sonoma State's Carolyn Greco was voted Defensive Player of the Year whle her coach, Emiria Salzmann, was voted by her colleagues Coach of the Year. The Newcomer award was presented to Chico State's Erin Woods and Mary Reilly of UC San Diego was tabbed Freshman of the Year.
