Toros Forge Scoreless Tie Against Regis University

Box Score

CARSON -- Coming into tonight's non-conference match-up against RMAC power Regis University, the Cal State Dominguez Hills women's soccer team gave the Rangers all they could handle in netting a 0-0 double overtime draw.

Johana Rosas tallied a team-best 3 shots on the evening as CSUDH tallied a 13-9 shot edge for the game, moving to 0-2-1 on the year.

RU, meanwhile, keeps its unbeaten record, but suffers its first blemish with the tie.

The Toros got the better play on the night, out-shooting the visitors 5-1 at the half, and 7-3 after intermission.

The Rangers, meanwhile, found their rhythm after regulation, taking 5 shots against just one for the hosts in the two extra frames.

Toro keeper Briana Calderon played all 110 minutes and was credited with one save, while RU keeper Kat Crump matched Calderon's minutes, but wound up with four saves in the draw.

CSUDH hosts No. 18 Metro State on Sunday at 12 noon, after the Roadrunners fell 3-1 at Cal Poly Pomona earlier today.
