Box Score
CARSON -- Cross-town rival Cal State L.A. used a score in the 8th minute to hand host Cal State Dominguez Hills a 1-0 defeat this morning in Toro Stadium, the third-consecutive 1-0 loss suffered by the Toros to drop them to 2-3-1, 1-3 CCAA.

The Golden Eagles, meanwhile, improve to 3-2-1, 2-2 CCAA.

In an otherwise even contest in which both teams tallied 10 shots, the visitors sent 6 of theirs on net compared to just one by the Toros.  That accuracy netted what proved to be the game's lone goal at 7:22 when Adriana Valdez slipped a cross to Megan Ollar, whose blast from 10 yards slipped through the hands of freshman keeper Jennifer Ackerly, who was making the first start of her career.

The Golden Eagles took 5 shots in each period, with the Toros more than doubling their first half output after the break with seven shots.

Claudia Toledo and Lexi Ford each took three for CSUDH, with Amanda Bolanos' only attempt being saved by CSULA keeper Gabriella Batmani.

The Toros continue their league play at home next weekend as CS Monterey Bay visits Carson for a 4:30 pm first kick.
