Former Toro Amir (Ronnie) Aguilar Featured in LA Times

LOS ANGELES -- Former Cal State Dominguez Hills men's basketball player Amir Aguilar signed a professional contract with the Los Angeles Lakers in late September to compete for a position during training camp, and was just featured in the Los Angeles Times by David Wharton.

Aguilar started nine games in 39 played in two years in Carson, averaging 4.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per contest. As a senior, Aguilar helped the Toros set five records that included a 16-1 start, defeating the No. 1 team in the nation, a No. 4 ranking by the NABC, a 10-game win streak and 23 wins in a single season, before being ushered out of the NCAA postseason by BYU-Hawai'i, whom the Toros bested during the regular season.
