Jalen Brown Named 2025-26 D2CCA 1st-Team All-West Region Selection

TURLOCK, Calif. -- On the eve of Cal State Dominguez Hills beginning its NCAA West Region title defense, junior guard Jalen Brown has been named to the 2025-26 D2CCAA All-West Region 1st-team, it was announced earlier by Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association.

With his 1st-team selection, Brown now is eligible for All-America consideration.

Brown enjoyed a stellar first year in Cardinal and Gold after transferring from Regis University.  The Salinas native enjoyed six games with at least 20 points scored that included a season-best 27-point outburst against San Francisco State in late December in which he went 11-for-13 from the floor.

He also dished at least four assists five times and enjoyed four games with three steals, earning one CCAA Player of the Week honor.

In the CCAA, Brown was amongst the league leaders in scoring and 3-point field goal percentage (4th), field goal percentage (5th), steals (11th), free throw percentage (15th), assists (16th), and 3-point field goals per game (19th).

The Toros, who earned the No. 5 seed in the NCAA West Region, take on No. 4 seed Alaska Anchorage tomorrow at 5 pm on the campus of host and overall No. 2 Cal State East Bay.

CSUEB's Tyree Campbell earned Player of the Year and 1st-team honors while UC Merced's Elijah Charles and Cal Poly Humboldt's Zaveoin Bineyard both earned 2nd-team honors to round out the CCAA contingent of D2CCA All-West Region selections.
