Box Score
CARSON -- Visiting and 25th-ranked UC San Diego scored two first-half goals, and it was enough in the Triton 3-1 win over the Toros on their "Senior Day."  Natalie Barbosa notched her first goal of the year in the 87th minute to account for CSUDH's score.

With the loss, CSUDH falls to 3-9-2, 2-9-1 CCAA, while UCSD improves to 10-1-2, 8-1-2 CCAA.

The CCAA south leading Tritons struck fast in today's contest as Izzy Pozurama collected a deflected loose ball at the 6 yard box and beat Toro keeper Tiffany Hollis for a quick lead at the 6:07 mark.

That edge doubled 30 minutes later after Cassie Callahan took a cross from Casey Parisi and flicked her header past Hollis for a 2-nil lead at 37:04, where the lead stood entering the half.

A 1v1 situation found Pozurama alone with Hollis at 56:38, where she made it 3-0, before Barbosa's unassisted score at 86:51 accounted for the game's final tally.

Ironcally, the Toros tallied the edge in shots in both halves, while the Tritons dominated the corners in a 7-1 tally.

Prior to the contest, the Toros honored seven seniors in Hollis, Allison Ruvalcaba, Molly Brennan, Lexi Ford, Ani Eishoei, Allyssia Vasquez and Niki Poole.

CSUDH will look to break its skid when north leader Sonoma State visits Carson next Friday, with first kick set for 4:30 pm in the Home Depot Center's Main Stadium.
