Box Score
CARSON -- Junior Taylor Canatsey's score on an untouched cross in the 79th minute capped an exciting 2-1 win for Cal State Dominguez Hills over a game Cal State Monterey Bay squad in the Main Stadium of the Home Depot Center, bringing the Toros to 4-1, 2-1 CCAA while dropping the Otters to 1-4, 0-3 CCAA.

The visitors surprised the defending NCAA West Region champions with a goal at 36:52 on an unassisted score by Natalie Argueta to give CSUMB a 1-0 lead entering the half, tallying a 5-4 shot advantage in the process.

Finally waking up after the break, however, junior Jessica Murphy made her first game of 2010 a memorable one, gaining the equalizer just 55 seconds into the second period after collecting a deflection and depositing it near post.

That's where the score remained until the 79th minute when Canatsey collected an untouched cross from Makenzie Pedrotti, and sent a rocket near post past a diving Graciela Holguin for what proved to be the game-winner.

In that offensive second half, CSUDH tallied a 13-0 shot advantage, causing 5 saves for Holguin in CSUMB's losing effort.

Holguin's counterpart, Alyssa Congdon was credited with one save on the afternoon as CSUDH escaped the barnburner with the victory.

The Toros continue their league homestand on Sunday as San Francisco State pays Carson a visit, with first kick set for 11:30 am.
