Pomona, CA -- The Toros picked up their second straight CCAA Conference win in a 3-1 victory at Cal Poly Pomona, and with it a berth in the CCAA Conference Championship Tournament next weekend, joining San Francisco State, UC San Diego and Sonoma State in the four-team tournament field, hosted by UC San Diego in La Jolla, California.  With the win, CSUDH improves to 12-7, 9-4 CCAA.

Bronco Mary Carroll gave her team a 1-0 lead when she positioned herself on the left side of the net and booted the ball on a pass from junior teammate Andrea Salerno past Toros goal keeper Alyssa Congdon. 

But the lead was shortlived as the Toros tied the game at 1-1 on Jessica Murphy's goal from Yvonne Vasquez and the two clubs went into halftime tied.

The Toros scored two second-half goals – by Melanie DeSalvo and Murphy scored her second on the night on a penalty kick with 46 seconds remaining in the game.
 
Congdon had six saves on the night for the Toros, while the Broncos' Amanda Cunningham had five saves.

The Toros complete the 2008 season on Sunday with an 11:30 am scheduled start at Cal State San Bernardino, before gearing up for next week's conference tournament.
