Moreno's Game-Winner Ends Second Half Surge in 2-1 Win at CS Stanislaus

Box Score
Turlock, CA -- Junior Natalie Moreno scored the last of two Toro goals in the second half as Cal State Dominguez Hills forged a come-from-behind 2-1 win at Cal State Stanislaus this morning, running their win streak to seven-straight.  The Toros now stand at 10-5, 8-2 CCAA.

Despite a strong first half performance for the host Warriors, CSUDH took its second-straight come-from-behind win after tallying the final three goals in Friday's 3-1 win at Chico State as CSUS dropped to 5-5-4, 1-5-3 CCAA.

The Warriors got on the board first when Tiffani Moore took a pass from Mackenzie Flandro and knocked it into the upper left corner of the net.  It was Moore's second goal of the season.

However, the second half belonged to the Toros as they scored twice to take the lead and were able to hold on for the victory.  Jessica Murphy, who notched two goals in Friday's win, scored her eighth goal of the season in the 52nd minute of play and Moreno scored the game winner in the 73rd minute of action.

It was a tale of two halves as the Warriors out shot the Toros eight to three in the first half, while the Toros outshot the Warriors 12 to seven after intermission.  Jessica Sitarz recorded six saves for the Warriors.

The Toros return home on Wednesday, October 15, to host UC San Diego for a 7:00 pm first kick in Toro Stadium, at the Track and Field Facility of the Home Depot Center.
