ALISA VIEJO, Calif. -- Cal State Dominguez Hills senior slugger Quinn Johnson has been selected as the FloCollege/CCAA Baseball Player of the Week for the week of April 6, the CCAA office announced this afternoon.

The San Diego native knocked seven hits in 13 at-bats, good for a .538 average and a 2.010 OPS as the Toros split their CCAA series with Cal State San Marcos to a series split. The second baseman had two doubles, three home runs, five runs batted in, and five runs scored in the four games boasting a hit and run scored in all four games. 

In the opener, Johnson reached base three times, providing a preview of things to come. He homered in both games of Friday's doubleheader before collecting three hits and three RBI in the series finale, which CSUDH won 12-5. 

Johnson now is hitting .351 this season, putting him 10th in the CCAA in OPS (1.093), sixth in doubles (10), and 11th in home runs (7). Click here to see CCAA baseball stats leaders. 

This is the second career CCAA Player of the Week award for Johnson after claiming his first last year.  This honor marks CSUDH's first CCAA baseball weekly award this year.
