ALISO VIEJO, Calif. - Demonstrating both athletic and academic excellence during the 2025-2026 academic year, a whopping 98 Cal State Dominguez Hills student-athletes earned California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) All-Academic honors as part of a record 1,209 total across all CCAA schools, the first time in conference history that the league surpassed the 1,200 mark.
Presented by Athletic Solutions, the 1,209 honorees eclipsed the previous all-time record of 1,171, established in 2020-21, and exceeded last year's total of 1,150 by 59 student-athletes.
Women's soccer earned a special distinction amongst their Cardinal and Gold counterparts as all members were recognized for this award.
To qualify for the CCAA All-Academic Award, an undergraduate student-athlete must have earned a varsity letter in one of the conference's 13 sponsored sports while posting a grade-point average of at least 3.40 in a minimum of 24 semester units completed at the certifying institution during the academic year.
The Toros claimed the eighth-highest total at 98, with Chico State leading all CCAA schools with 138. Cal Poly Pomona was next at 133, while Cal State San Marcos finishing third at 132.
The CCAA began presenting its annual All-Academic Awards in 2005-06.
The CCAA and NCAA Division II support the educational mission of college athletics by fostering a balanced and inclusive approach in which student-athletes learn and develop through their desired academic pursuits, civic engagement within their communities and athletic competition, creating a life in the balance.
The award demonstrates the academic achievements of student-athletes throughout the CCAA's 12 member institutions. It illustrates one of the many ways student-athletes take advantage of the unique opportunity Division II provides to compete in the classroom, on the field, in their careers, for their causes and on their terms.
