LOS ANGELES -- Junior hurdler
Isabella Bobda and senior sprinter / mid-distance runner
Leloni Ervin (pictured) both posted top five finishes to lead Cal State Dominguez Hills at the Twilight Open, hosted by Cal State LA at Jesse Owens Track.
Bobda, originally from Venice, Italy, placed 3rd in the 100 meter hurdles, crossing the line in a time of 14.94, besting hurdlers from host CSULA, Cal Lutheran Cal State San Bernardnio and Wayne State.
Ervin, meanwhile, ran a sub-60 second time of 59.17 in her 400 meter dash specialty to take 5th, posting a better time than runners from Division I San Diego State, host CSULA, Cal Lutheran and CS San Bernardino.
Jumper
Simone Terry also posted a pair of top 10 finishes, coming in 6th in the triple jump (10.72) and 7th in the long jump (5.08m), with sprinter
Ali Medina also posting a 6th place finish in the 400 meter dash, joining her teammate by crossing the line in under a minute at 59.57.
