CARSON, Calif. — The California State University, Dominguez Hills women's soccer team celebrated a trio of standout performers with All-California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) accolades.
Kaila Tone and
Alyssa Villalobos were named to the All-CCAA Second Team, while
Alyssa Edwards earned Honorable Mention recognition.
Kaila Tone – Second Team
Tone anchored the midfield with consistency and clutch performances, starting all 16 matches this season. The senior tallied three goals and one assist, including a game-winning goal in the Toros' 1-0 victory over Fresno Pacific on Sept. 11. Tone's offensive efficiency shone with 15 shots, six of which were on target, while she contributed 1,439 minutes of reliable play.
Alyssa Villalobos – Second Team
Villalobos delivered an impressive offensive season, ranking among the team's top scorers. The forward scored five goals and dished out four assists, amassing 14 points across 17 games (16 starts). Highlighting her season was a three-goal outburst in a 5-2 win at Stanislaus State on Oct. 4. Villalobos also netted the game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Sonoma State on Oct. 13. She finished with 16 shots, eight on goal, and logged 1,274 minutes on the pitch.
Alyssa Edwards – Honorable Mention
Edwards made her presence known in limited action, showcasing a knack for finishing under pressure. In just 10 games (one start), Edwards recorded three goals and one assist, with her two-goal performance at UC Colorado Springs on Sept. 18 leading the Toros to a thrilling 3-4 result. The junior totaled seven shots on goal out of 15 attempts, maintaining a shooting accuracy of 46.7%. She logged 558 minutes on the field.
