CORNING, Calif. – At the Chico State Wildcat Classic held at The Links at Rolling Hills Casino and Resort in, the CSU Dominguez Hills Toros placed 7
th overall during the challenging three-day tournament.
Jonah Camarillo led the team efforts, tying for 20th place with an overall score of +1. He displayed consistent skill with rounds of 72, 72, and 73, effectively managing the course's difficulties.
David Cho and
Andy Garcia both competed strongly within the team framework, each tying for 36th place at +11. Cho's rounds of 79, 74, and 74, and Garcia's rounds of 75, 75, and 77, demonstrated their resilience and ability to adapt under tournament pressures.
Aaron Sanchez and
Zachary Iwashita, also part of the team, showed their mettle in tough conditions. Sanchez finished in 41st place with rounds of 77, 72, and 81, peaking impressively in the second round. Iwashita, maintaining consistency, tied for 34th with scores of 77 in the first two rounds and 72 in the final round, contributing solidly to the team's overall performance.
Competing as individuals,
Isaac Cabrera and
Mahamed Ibrahim showcased their skills outside the team scoring. Cabrera finished 28th at +7 (75, 76, 72) and Ibrahim tied for 29th with a score of +9 (77, 74, 74), both demonstrated strong individual efforts and competitive spirit.
The Toros head to Seaside as they compete in the CSU Monterey Invite on from Monday, October 14th through Tuesday, October 15
