ROHNERT PARK - The Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros showcased a promising start, winning a tight first set 25-23, but struggled to maintain their early momentum. The Toros eventually fell to the Sonoma State Seawolves in a four-set match, 3-1.
 
In a nail-biting first set, the Toros claimed victory with a 25-23 scoreline. However, SSU found a rythym in the subsequent sets. They managed to secure the last three with scores of 25-19, 25-14, and 25-15 for the win.
 
Notable performances from the Toros included Ava Hurry, who led the team in kills with eight, added nine digs, and contributed 8.5 points. Cassie Taylor also had an impactful game, registering six kills and leading the Toros defensively with 14 digs, amassing a total of eight points.
 
 Jesi Diekmann showcased her versatility with four kills, a .200 hitting percentage, and contributing eight total points. Bailey Fuches played a crucial role as a setter, assisting 21 times and earning 3.5 points for the Toros.
 
The Toros close their Northern California road trip on Saturday as they take on Cal Poly Humboldt at 5pm in Arcata.
