CHICO - In a tightly contested golf tournament, the Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros displayed remarkable consistency, finishing in fourth place with a combined score of 862, two under par.
Chico State secured the top spot with a striking three-round total of 850 at fourteen under par. Hot on their heels, Sonoma State University claimed the second position with a combined score of 853, eleven under par. Cal State East Bay trailed closely, landing in third place at ten under par with a score of 854.
Leading the pack for the Toros, Joseph Sotelo exhibited an impressive performance, finishing 11th overall with scores of 72, 71, and 70, cumulating at three under par. Andy Garcia, with consistent rounds of 70, 73, and 72, ended at one under par, tying for the 15th spot.
Francis Bautista showcased a commendable effort, moving from the 30th to the 17th position with his scores of 77, 69, and 70, concluding at even par.
The Toros next outing is at the CSU Monterey Invite on Monday, October 16th through Tuesday, October 17th at the 72-par Bayonet and Black Horse Golf course.
