CALIFORNIA -- Coming off one of the best weekend performances which resulted six CCAA points for Cal State Dominguez Hills, sophomore midfielder
Sulaiman Bah was voted as the conference's men's soccer Player of the Week Tuesday.
Bah, a native of Sierra Leone, becomes the first Toro to win the conference's weekly honor since 2017. Bah scored three times in CSUDH's lopsided 7-1 win over Cal State East Bay on Friday. The midfielder then added another score on Sunday at Stanislaus State to run his season total to five goals.
Against Cal State East Bay, Bah scored twice in the first half in the 5th and 21st minute as the Toros took a 3-0 lead at the half. Bah opened up the scoring in the second half with a score in the 56th minute as CSUDH dominated CSUEB.
Bah also became the first Toro to find the back of the net three times since Robert Roosen did it in 2019. He's the second CCAA player to score a hat trick this season.
At Stanislaus State, Bah knocked in the penalty kick goal in the 63rd minute in the Toros' 4-1 win over the Warriors.
Cal State Dominguez Hills returns home to host Humboldt State on Friday and Chico State on Sunday.
