CARSON -- A number of former Cal State Dominguez Hills student-athletes have turned in one uniform for another, currently finding themselves in the middle of today's fight against COVID-19.
GoToros.com salutes these alums, and will recognize their heroic efforts on the front line as the pandemic continues to alter the way we go about our daily activities.
This profile in courage features
Natalie Greco, a 4-year member of the Toros softball team who currently serves as a full-time Nursing Instructor for the LA County Emergency Medical Services Agency, and part-time as an Emergency/Trauma RN at LA County USC Medical Center after graduating from CSUDH in 2007 with a Kinesiology degree, and then in 2011 with her nursing license, also from CSUDH.
On the diamond, Greco helped lead the Toros to back-to-back 46-win seasons, earning All-CCAA honors as a junior in 2005 en route to the CCAA Championship and NCAA West Region hosting duties.
Thank you, Natalie, for your commitment and dedication to serve.

How I'm helping:
"Currently I work at the Los Angeles County Emergency Medical Services Agency as a Nursing Instructor. The section I work in is Program Approvals. We ensure the education provided meets the national standards for all continuing education, EMT, and Paramedic programs. Throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic, I have assisted the disaster team with the distribution of personal protective equipment, ventilators, and medication to LA County Hospitals and EMS providers. On the weekends I continue to work part-time in the Emergency Department at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center."
My motivation to help is:
"I am motivated by my amazing co-workers, family, community and those who have been personally affected by this pandemic."
How life has changed in 2020:
"I often get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life, forgetting what is truly important. The stay-at-home order has forced me to take a step back and enjoy the simple things in life and appreciate being able to spend time with family and friends."
How my participation in collegiate athletics influences me during the current pandemic:
"Playing collegiate softball provided a framework on how to work well with a team and perform efficiently under high pressure."
