How I'm helping:
"I currently work on patrol at the Westminster PD where we are helping and protecting citizens from COVID-19. I answer radio calls for service and respond to people's locations when they call the police for help. I also patrol the city and make enforcement stops and stop crimes in progress. The job is constantly changing and there is something new every time I go into work. My goal is to keep the citizens of Westminster and my fellow Westminster Police Officers safe during this time.

My motivation to help is:
"Sacrificing my health and well being to protect fellow citizens and officers during a time of crisis."

How life has changed in 2020:
"I started out in 2018 as an LA County Deputy Sheriff in the jails, but recently lateraled to Westminster PD. I recently finished patrol training, which means I am now by myself in my own patrol car."

How my participation in collegiate athletics influences me during the current pandemic:
"Participating in college athletics has helped me deal with adversity and high pressure situations. As a police officer we deal with high stress, high pressure, and fast-moving situations. Playing college golf during high pressure and stressful moments has taught me to remain calm during these times. I also believe college athletics has taught me to be more positive, and going through tough times like COVID-19, I can help my fellow officers and citizens of Westminster have a better day."
