CARSON -- A number of former Cal State Dominguez Hills student-athletes have turned in one uniform for another, currently finding themselves in the middle of today's fight against COVID-19.
GoToros.com salutes these alums, and will recognize their heroic efforts on the front line as the pandemic continues to alter the way we go about our daily activities.

How I'm helping:
"My unit has been converted into a COVID-19 floor. We have direct care with patients suspected of COVID and patients who have tested positive."
My motivation to help is:
"My motivation is my loved ones. I want to show my two boys that when times get scary and tough you don't run away. I'm motivated to help stop the spread so that my parents are safe. I'm motivated to help my patients recover so that they may return to their loved ones."
How life has changed in 2020:
"Going to work has become more stressful. There has always been a certain level of stress with my job but now the virus has become all consuming."
How my participation in collegiate athletics influences me during the current pandemic:
"Taking care of these patients requires a new level of teamwork with my fellow nurses. I'm proud of the way we have come together and increased our cohesiveness."
