CARSON – The Cal State Dominguez Hills baseball team will be looking for improvements in 2018 after going 14-35 and 12-26 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) a year ago. The new campaign begins Thursday, when they begin a home-and-home series with Cal Baptist at 2 p.m.
Perhaps the biggest change to the 2018 CCAA season is the elimination of the divisions and playing every member four times instead of the old format in which teams play opponents in their same division four times and the other division three times.
Here is what third-year head coach
Tyler Wright and junior left-hander
Rigo Fernandez said about the upcoming season including the new conference format and how they will approach it.
