SAN FRANCISCO -- Cal State Dominguez Hills scored three unanswered second-half goals to take a 3-1 win at San Francisco State on a cool Sunday afternoon, matching Friday's score and result to move CSUDH to 4-0-2, 2-0-2 CCAA.

Heriberto Ponce, Jr. scored the second Toro goal in a span of four minutes for the game-winner, with Aaron Salazar picking up two assists and a goal.

After a first half that saw the two teams combine for 12 shots but no scores, the Toros picked up their office to the tune of 19 shots en route to a 27-9 overall shot advantage, causing SFSU to make 13 saves that included 10 in the second half.

Scoreless through 62 minutes of play, the hosts got on the board first after Sam Merritt blasted his shot from 8 yards past Toro keeper Trey Mitchelle for a 1-0 lead.

That's where the score remained until the 76th minute when CSUDH's offensive pushes started finding the net.

Salazar began his offensive day with a cross to Miguel Vazquez at the 6-yard marker, where Vazquez put away his blast past SFSU keeper Colt Reichl.

The assist machine was at it again four minutes later as he sent a cross to Ponce in front of the net, where CSUDH's leading scorer drilled his shot past a defenseless Reichl.

Salazar then completed the scoring near the end of regulation as Alejandro Covarrubias fed a streaking Salazar on a breakaway for the easy score.

Of CSUDH's 27 shots, 16 were on frame compared to just three of SFSU's 9 attempts.

Covarrubias' six and Jio Santana's five shots paced the offensive charge, with Mitchell making one save in the win.

CSUDH returns home this Friday to face CS San Bernardino, with first kick set for a 7 pm start.
