ALISO VIEJO -- Cal State Dominguez Hills freshman forward Juan Calderon was named a California Collegiate Athletic Association 2nd-team selection in his first year in Cardinal and Gold, highlighting a pair of Toros who were recognized for their efforts during the 2026 season.

Senior David Politron (below) earned honorable mention honors to round out the two Cal State Dominguez Hills selections as the Toros finished in 8th place in the CCAA standings, missing out on the CCAA postseason tournament by just 0.25 points per match after finishing the regular season with a 6-7-5 overall and 4-5-3 CCAA record.

Calderon, who started 14 of 16 matches, led CSUDH in goals, assists and points, and finished second in shots and shots on goal.  Demonstrating his striking acumen, the Moreno Valley native converted all three of his penalty kick attempts to account for 60% of his scores, with his assists good for 8th place in the CCAA.

The true freshman scored four of his goals in the first five matches, adding two of his assists in the first four contests.

Starting in all 18 matches in his farewell campaign, Politron scored three goals with one coming via PK, and two coming against CCAA foes.
