Box Score
LOS ANGELES -- Point Loma Nazarene held Cal State Dominguez Hills to just 21.9 shooting from the field en route to a convincing 70-43 win over the Toros in the opening contest of the CSULA Thanksgiving Tournament.  Freshman Emilie Boege led CSUDH with 11 points in the loss.

With the decision, the Toros fall to 0-3 on the year, while the Lions improve to 2-0.

PLNU led from start to finish, making its first attempt and racing out to a 10-point lead with 11:22 left in the first half.  The Toros used a Breanne Garcia foul shot and Robynn Cochran lay-up to cut their deficit to 17-10 three minutes later, but the Lions pushed their lead back to double-figures, setling for a 31-20 halftime lead.

After the break, it was all PLNU as the lead reached 41-20 with just under 3 minutes elapsed, and up to 25 on two occasions, the last coming on a lay-up by Andrew Campbell with 14:21 left in regulation.

CSUDH cut its deficit to the teens on a pair of Monay Lee free throws that brought the score to 54-37, but PLNU increased its edge to a game-high 27 points at the 8:41 mark, ending the game with the same lead after a Campbell lay-up with 48 ticks left in the contest.

Boege drained 3-of-4 from behind the arc and finished with a 4-for-5 performance, with Denisha Lundy chipping in 9 points in the loss.  Brianna Cheatum was a bright spot on the boards for the Toros, raking down 10 board that included 7 on the offensive end.

The Toros will continue the tournament tomorrow afternoon, taking on Fresno Pacific for a 1 pm first tip.
