ALISA VIEJO, Calif. -- Sophomore guard
Bryanne Lopez-Wood was named to the 2025-26 CCAA Women's Basketball All-Conference 2nd-team, while fellow guard
Zanna Hurst was selected as an honorable mention, it was announced by the CCAA office.
Lopez-Wood, who was instrumental in leading the Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros to a resurgent second-half of the CCAA schedule in which they doubled their win total and boasted a 7-game win streak, epitomized the definition of a gamer as evidenced by consistently driving into the lane without regard for her body and evidenced by leading the Toros in free throws attempted and made.
The Sylmar native enjoyed two games with at least 20 points, nailing 22 in the crosstown-rivalry game against Cal State LA, and boasted three double-doubles.
She dished out a season-high 13 assists against San Francisco State against just two turnovers in late December, also adding 11 assists versus Stanislaus State in mid-February.
Concluding the regular season, Lopez-Wood ranks amongst the CCAA's best in assist-to-turnover ratio (3rd), blocks and assists (4th), field goal percentage (7th), steals (12th), scoring (13th), and rebounds (19th).
Hurst was deadly from downtown, leading the team in 3-pointers made, with 12 games in which she drained at least two from downtown including a 5-for-11 effort against Chico State on January 29.
The San Diego native went for a season-high 20 points against Chico State in late January, nailing five triples in the process.
In the CCAA, she sits 14th in 3-point field goals per game.
The CCAA's individual honors are:
Player of the Year - Nevaeh Asiasi, Cal State LA
