HAYWARD -- Senior defender Scott Locken matched last season's goal production in one match after notching two goals in a 5-0 rout over host Cal State East Bay to open CCAA Conference play.  With the win, the No. 19-ranked Toros move to 2-0-1, 1-0 CCAA.

Coming off a hard-fought double-overtime draw to NAIA Vanguard last week, the Toros had little trouble opening the season as the defending CCAA Champions after scoring often and early.

Junior Miguel Vasquez began the barrage with a score in the 11th minute, finding the back of the net from 15 yards out.

Locken gave CSUDH a 2-0 lead 16 minutes later after his attempt bounced off the East Bay defense and scooted under keeper Patrick Gilbertson.

The Huntington Beach native made it 3-0 at 62:40 after heading in a rebounded shot, while Diego Turoldo and Greg Piechota finished the scoring at 66:51 and 72:51 respectively.

Keeper Markus Dickerson tallied 4 saves as CSUDH out-shot the hosts by a whopping 29-7 margin, although they were out-cornered 4-1.

The Toros will look to continue their scoring frenzy on Sunday as they travel to La Jolla for a showdown with UC San Diego.
