Three Toros Break 30-Minute Mark at Pepperdine's 6K Invitational

Malibu, CA --- Though not fielding a complete team, the CSUDH Cross Country team saw all three of it's individual runners break the 30-minute mark at the annual Pepperdine University Cross Country Invitational. Liliana Yera led the way in the DII category with a total time of 27:04.16 and an eleventh place finish.

This marks the first time this year all of its entered runners have broken the 30-minute mark in a 6k race, this time taking place in the the beach hillside of California's Malibu coast.

Two other Toros competed in the event to improve in their running:

Dora Baldwin - 27:51.65 (14th)
Faviola Fernandez - 29:31.55 (18th)

CSUDH's cross country team will run next in the UC San Diego Triton Invitational on Saturday, October 11th.
