Ruiz was ridiculous as the Toros swept past perennial power UC San Diego yesterday in the first two games of their four-game set.

The junior slugger went 4-for-6 on the day, with 6 RBI and 3 runs scored, boasting a .667 batting and on-base percentage, and a whopping 1.333 slugging percentage.

Ruiz connected for a walk-off grand slam in the opener to cap a dramatic comeback, and followed that with 2 RBI in the 7-2 nightcap win that solidified the sweep.

She also added three putouts on the day.
