CARSON -- Sophomore striker
Lucas Galarza scored the first and last goals of Cal State Dominguez Hills' 4-0 win over visiting Cal Poly Humboldt, giving the Dignity Health Sports Park Main Stadium crowd plenty to cheer about this afternoon.
The Toros pick up their second-straight win while improving to 4-3-3 overall and 2-1-1 in CCAA play.
Galarza wasted little time in getting the hosts on the board, taking a
Nathan Hernandez feed and finding the back of the lower right net for a 1-nil lead at the 3:47 mark.
David Politron doubled CSUDH's lead 12 minutes later, courtesy of an Andre Arreola assist, where it remained until the second half.
After intermission, Galarza set up
Davien Karanikolas, who provided an insurance goal by slotting his shot to the lower right quadrant of the goal before Galarza capped the scoring at 84:49, putting the match away.
The Toros dominated play, out-shooting the Jacks 20 to 7, including a whopping 14 to 1 shots on goal edge. There were 18 fouls called between the two teams, with CSUDH earning two yellows compared to one for CPH.

Tiago Menezes picked up his second shutout in three matches.
CSUDH looks to make it three-straight to bring in the month of October, taking on Fresno Pacific on October 1, at 7 pm, in Fresno.
